Dr Peter Holsman

Dr Peter Holsman is an energetic, imaginative and resourceful medical practitioner and naturopath who has dedicated his career to finding the secrets that will boost people's energy levels and slow down their ageing process.

Early in his practice Peter discovered that the problems many people who led a busy lifestyle complained about every day could not be treated by merely prescribing pills or potions. This stirred his curiosity and, after further painstaking research, Peter confirmed that many conditions that caused loss of vitality also caused ageing and vice versa. Most importantly he found that the conditions would readily respond to a blend of natural therapies and modern medicine.

He has become an expert at providing unique and simple solutions to help people stay young and energetic and fit and healthy. Through visiting his clinics many people have found that 'Dr. Peter's Principles', as they are known, let them live life to the fullest with time and energy to enjoy both work and play. His success has led to him being asked to share his secrets at conferences and meetings where busy people and their bosses are looking for solutions that suit their time pressured lifestyle.

"Life should be fun," Peter says and that's why his presentations and prescriptions are both fun to listen to and fun to follow. "There's no point living forever if you're miserable," he adds. Naturally, Peter practices what he preaches so that although he delivers a formidable arsenal of 'stay young' tactics none of his practical ideas are threatening or confronting. Quite simply you'll find that the secrets to good health and a long life are fun!

Dr. Peter Holsman has shared his secrets with people who work for companies like: BHP Billiton Limited, ANZ Banking Group, Telstra Corporation, Westpac Banking Corporation, Westfield Trust, David Jones Limited, Symbion Health Limited, CSL Limited, National Australia Bank, Coles Myer Limited, Caltex Australia, Qantas Airways, Rebel Sport Limited, Medical and Dental Accounting

Itching to Detox?

October 4, 2011

Most of us have heard about detoxing, but what does it involve and who suffers or benefits? Will a 7 day rapid cleansing regimen do the job or is a long term healthy lifestyle approach in your best interests?

The fact is that your body is always working to reduce toxic chemicals found in the food you eat, the fluids you drink and the air you breathe. In addition, your body makes potentially dangerous chemicals as a by-product of metabolism. Stress also increases the demands placed on your body.

Are You Feeling Cold?

October 1, 2011

If heaters and fireplaces can’t warm you up this winter, the problem may not be the cold weather outside.

Feeling cold is also a common symptom of adrenal and thyroid gland stress resulting in low hormones and a host of symptoms including tiredness, weight gain, depression and menstrual problems.

September 27, 2011

Clues that hormones are out of balance include:

Painful, heavy or irregular periods, irritability and mood changes, poor memory, fatigue, lack of motivation, craving sugar and chocolate, fluid retention, bloating, night sweats, hot flushes,…

Don’t become a walking contradiction!

September 25, 2011

Last week, Dalia and I went on a Gold coast holiday to escape the Melbourne Winter. However, on arriving at the hotel, I was faced with a conundrum. The hotel had clearly stated that we were on a ‘no smoking’ floor and yet each room had an ashtray carefully placed on every balcony.

This got me thinking about how in life we commonly question how we go about our daily lives. Are we saying what we really feel or just what we think others expect or want of us?

Busting Some Myths About Eggs

September 22, 2011

I enjoy eating half a dozen free range eggs a week and was delighted to read that the Heart Foundation now recommends that most Australians can consume up to six eggs a week, as part of a healthy balanced diet low in saturated fat.
